The Professional Master Degree in Technological Innovation and Perioperative Care Processes is a strict sense graduate course proposed by the Anesthesiology Discipline of the School of Medicine of USP and approved by Resolution CoPGr n. 7.699 (June 5th 2019).
Concentration Area: INNOVATION IN PERIOPERATIVE MEDICINE
Aims at the critical analysis of technological innovation and healthcare processes related to the perioperative period. The processes of development, evaluation, incorporation, use, and technological disposal have interface with processes in the healthcare area. The use of evidence-based medicine tools for the assessment of new technologies and the focus on patient safety may contribute to increasing the culture of technological innovation and knowledge management. Optimizing the quality of perioperative care processes involves the standardization of procedures related to the various stages of surgical patient care, the use of specific learning tools, and compliance with national and international hospital accreditation standards for Surgical Centers and Surgical Intensive Care Units. In addition to targeting patient safety and reducing surgical morbidity and mortality, encouraging technological innovation and the use of these technologies in the context of perioperative care processes may contribute to the development of the healthcare industrial complex in Brazil.
