Non-governmental, non-profit medical organization founded in the city of Norfolk, Virginia, USA, in 1982. The organization works with children born with cleft lip and cleft palate, and offers medical care, such as reconstructive surgery , all around the world. To date, Operation Smile has performed surgeries on more than 240,000 children, youngsters and adults in more than 60 countries, including Brazil.
